Louise Loves to Spread Hysteria!!

Seems Louise has a new place to hang, killing time while she rounds up lose change from the street in order to afford another beer at St. Elmo's...The Bark Park!

She really "digs" the changing art there and has even helped contribute to some of it.

"Yep, Chew-Mee really needs my help big time! She is doing a huge mural face thing and she is lost without me...Poor thing!"

When I asked Louise just what she was doing to help Chew-Mee, she quickly changed the subject to her latest solo art venture saying,

"I'm thinking of calling it, 'Pantsuits through the Ages' or, 'The myth of the Pantsuit' I just can't decide...."

"What, you'd like to see the pieces? Um, OK...hold on, wait for me here. I need to stop by and pick them up off my friends front porch."

Louise is to sad to blog today. She just found out her idol, Bea Aurthur, has past away....

Wrong Turn....

Last night at work, on her way to fetch some sorbet pans for those, "Lazy bitches!" Louise took a wrong turn...."Hm, wonder where this door leads to?"

"Holly shit! Yeah baby, the liquor vault!"

Needless to say we didn't see her for the rest of the night. But as Shawn was mopping the upstairs dinning area he thought he heard a voice saying, "Tell Rod to send me up some grub. Make it snappy, I'm starving up here!"

Back to Work!

In need of some greenbacks Louise heads on over to Roka for the Thursday night shift. Watch out! She's clever and will steal your pens and tips. She also gets a kick out of writing in fake reservations for large parties.

"Hm...Wonder who's coming in tonight. I hope I see The Flying Mermaid, she's a hoot!"

Shot Down in Flames

AC/DC did not add this to the song list till they played in Europe, FUCKERS! Did not play it in PHX! One of my favs, "Oh ain't it a shame, when your shot down in flames." So after the new flame pinstripe that the Jeepster will have, I had to name it after this song.

Oh Sure!

Oh sure Wine Me, Dine Me, Fuck Me and leave me all by myself. Now I'm stuck here with Frankie Monkey and his Fucking Celine Dion Videos and Air Supply CD's. I can't even leave due to the fact that the Jeepster is getting a major Brake job, and painting better than before. Never did like how the olive green came out. So the new name for the Jeepster P-40, will be; 'Shot Down in Flames' more to come...... But now off to bed to cry in my pillow and ask, "Cherry Blossom where are you?"

Squid Goat

About 5 months ago I found this cool 'Iron Maiden' stencil on the Internet. I told Jade I could show her how to do stencils like that. She was really good at it, and cut out 6 right away. The first one was this Angler Fish, she had plans to be the new Night Goat or Squid Goat I should say. I also told her I'd show her how to do Batik and she could make money doing T-Shirts with her art on them,but like they say. "You can lead a squid to water but you can't make them drink."

It's a good thing Chew-Mee was around to do her 'Dirty Work' for her.

Louise brings home a friend

While out trolling the gulch, Louise met a curious stranger. She brought the stranger over for dinner. It was a bit awkward. The stranger wouldn't say a word to anyone. Afterwords the two retreated to the closet for some idle chat. I tried to listen in, but all I could hear where mumbling and shrieks. Maybe they were shrieks of laughter? After a few hours, the stranger left. Louise wouldn't tell me a thing about their meeting...

I hope she doesn't bring anyone else home. They get weirder and weirder each time...

Dance of 1000 Hands

This came my way and I though it was really cool! The commentary is not mine. And it's long. Bottom line all the dancers in this troupe are Deaf. Watch the video and then read if you want to know more.

I've seen this before... but maybe you haven't. It was so inspiring to see it again! There is an awesome dance, called the Thousand-Hand Guanyin. This dance shows how human beings can morph into the most interesting montages of movement and fluidic action. It certainly is a very inspiring and captivating sight to behold! Considering the tight coordination that is required, their accomplishment is nothing short of amazing, even if they were not all deaf. Yes, you read that correctly. All 21 of the dancers are completely DEAF. Relying only on signals from trainers at the four corners of the stage, these extraordinary dancers deliver a visual spectacle that is at once intricate and stirring. It is SPECTACULAR!

Its first major international debut was in Athens at the closing ceremonies for the 2004 Paralympics. But it had long been in the repertoire of the Chinese Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe and had traveled to more than 40 countries.

Its lead dancer is 29-year-old Tai Lihua, who has a BA from the Hubei Fine Arts Institute. The video was recording in Beijing during the Spring Festival this year.

Although this dance is paganistic, from the Buddhist religion, it's still beautiful to watch. After you watch the video, go ahead and read the history of it and the meaning, which I've included below, after the link for the video.Guan Yin is the bodhisattva of compassion, revered by East Asian Buddhists as the goddess of Mercy. Her name is short for Guan Shi Yin. Guan means to observe, watch, or monitor; Shi means the world; Yin means sounds, specifically sounds of those who suffer. Thus, Guan Yin is a compassionate being who watches for, and responds to, the people in the world who cry out for help.

Bronze figures of her usually have four heads (12 faces) and twenty-four arms and sit on nine layers of 999 petals.

It is generally accepted that Guan Yin originated as the Sanskrit Avalokitesvara which is her male form. Guan Yin is also revered by Chinese Taoists as an immortal. It should be noted that, in Taoist mythology, Guan Yin has other origination stories which are unrelated to Avalokitesvara.
